Our Policies / Prohibited Materials
The Following are Prohibited Materials that we cannot accept at our facilities.
Their inclusion in your scrap metal load may result in rejection of your load.
Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Facilities
-PCBs/Capacitors
-Closed containers including unapproved drums
-Pressurized containers including post consumer aerosal cans
-CFCs/HFCs**
-Whole or broken batteries within ferrous loads
-Television or computer crt monitors
-No scrap materials with HAZMAT or Radioactive markings
-Any free-flowing liquids or solid wastes
-Any combustible, flammable or explosive materials
-Asbestos materials
-Lightning ballast
-Radioactive materials
-Mercury (switches)
-Firearms and munitions (except by prior arrangement)
-Fluids drained from all components
**All CFC appliances must be drained and tagged by a licensed technician.
Our Policies
-Kane Scrap Customers only get PAID once a day.*Please collect your slips until your last trip of the day then you will be paid for everything that your brought in for the day.
*Please do not leave with slips that have not been initialed and dated.
*As of 8/7/11 any customers who fail to comply with this policy will receive a $10 bookeeping fee for any subsequent slips that are processed.
*As of 11/17/11 , no checks will be replaced after being voided for the 90 day period.
*A vaild ID is required to collect payment from Kane Scrap.
